Oh, the Joy that Santa brings. . .

. . .well, maybe not so much with my kids!

We had our church Christmas Party last night, and Santa came.
I thought for sure my kids were both old enough to be happy to sit on Santa's lap and get a cute picture with him. umm . . . not so much!
Here is Seth, really upset by the idea that we had to wait in line to get his candy from Santa. That's right, this kid was more interested in the candy cane that Santa was giving out then Santa himself!
Here he is finally sitting on Santa's lap, and just really wanting that candy.

Now Isaac is funny with these sorts of things.
He has been talking and planning out exactly what he wants to say to Santa for weeks now.
Then when the time comes for him to spend a few minutes with Santa,
he gets so Nervous.
He sat on Santa's lap and totally forgot everything that he had planned on talking to him about.
So to break the silence, Santa finally said, "Well, do you want a game or a football for Christmas?" Isaac then says, "um, ya a football". . .which he really does not want but was so nervous he really didn't know what else to say. So funny! Andy then helped him out with a few things that Isaac had mentioned, before he had his panic attack.
Poor guy, he really looks nervous in this picture!

When we were driving home from the party, Isaac says "I really didn't get to talk to Santa that much, I wish that I could talk to him again. Let's go see him at the mall!"

Totally can relate. That is very funny story about Isaac. Sometimes I can't believe how much he has grown up. He was my little buddy back in Ohio.

I love church Santa's. They always look so funny. We saw Santa at the mall and took pictures and I'm holding Baylor to keep him to running away from Santa...so yes I can relate too.
