Mom's Day!!

Tuesday Tell All for this week is
Thoughts on Mother's day.

"Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body." -Elizabeth Stone

First experience as a mom:

Seeing and holding Isaac for the first time was my first experience as a mom.
When I was pregnant with him, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
As soon as I saw him, I knew that my life had changed forever.
I never thought that I could love a baby so much.
After Seth was born I felt the same way.
I feel so lucky to have both of them.

Best mom advice:
The best mom advice that I have been given has been to simply make sure that your kids know that you love them and that you are proud of their accomplishments.
If they know they have a loving home and a mom who will always be ther
e for them, I think they will have more respect and love for you.

Things I learned from my mom:

Well, I learned probably 98% of everything I know about motherhood from my mom.
Being the oldest in my family I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time helping my mom take care of my younger siblings.
My mom is amazing! She didn't just take of me and my three other siblings, she babysat many other children for extra income. She has so much patience!
She is not just a mother to me but is one of my best friends. Being so far away from her, I call her way to much. But she is aways so happy to hear from me, and ready to he
lp me with any advice I need.
My mom will drop almost anything to help me out, she has always been that way. I am very thankful for all my mom has done for me and all that she still does for me. I love her very much!!

Why I love being a mom:

-In Isaac and Seth's eyes I am the prettiest princess, I make the best meals and treats, I have the best singing voice and dance moves.
-I love being brought dandelions from our yard.
-I love watching Isaac draw, color, and write.
-I love watching Seth hit a baseball with his bat.
-I love that my two boys love each other, and play together so good.
-I love when Seth cuddles with me every night before bed.
-I love that Isaac gives me huge bear hugs in the morning when he wakes up.
-I love hearing Isaac's sweet prayers.
-I love how all Holidays are now a lot more fun with kids!
-I love how I have an instant bond with and compassion for all other mothers in the world.
-I love that I am constantly motivated to be a better person.
-
I know that I am the entire world to two little boys, who in turn are my entire world.

I am so grateful that I am a mom. There is no other job that is as rewarding.
Being a mom is the best!

Happy Mother's Day to you all!!

Thanks for your sweet thoughts -- I loved the thought of wearing your heart on the outside. I always say a mom is only as happy as her saddest child. It is fun to hear about your family.

Loved the comments about mothers. It's so true, your heart takes a lickin' sometimes, but it is so worth it.
