Time to Catch Up. . .

I have found that the week before school starts is a very busy one.
However, most of the craziness was my own doing. I really wanted to go and do fun things with the boys before Isaac started school.

We started on Monday (last Monday)
I took the boys to the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids.
We ended up staying there for FOUR hours. Isaac and Seth were both being really good and really enjoying themselves. So I figured as long as I was not chasing after Seth and braking up fights I would enjoy there excitement of the zoo.
We did everything we could at the zoo. We even did the swan paddle boats on the lake outside of the zoo grounds. We all had a great time and the weather was perfect!!

Tuesday, Isaac had his BACK TO SCHOOL night.
It was really fun to see him so excited to show off his class room, LOCKER, playground, school library, and so on. He is very excited to start Kindergarten!! I can't believe that he will have a locker in kindergarten.
My little boy is not so little anymore. I am excited for him to start school tomorrow.

Wednesday, our young women's had an end of the summer pool party and sleepover.
I took the boys with me to the pool party part of the activity.
We had a B-B-Q, layed out, played in the pool and had a great time!
That evening we all went over to the Young Womens President's house. We did our nails, had some girl talk, and watched 'Pride and Prejudice' the new one filmed in Utah county.
The girls then slept over, but I went home around midnight to sleep in my own bed. :-)
I love being with these girls, they are all so sweet and so much fun to be around.

Thursday, we had a neighborhood bike wash in our backyard!
Isaac and his friends were wanting to play with our hose.
So I thought it would be a fun idea to fill up a bucket of soapy water and let them wash their bikes. They are all really into washing things, so they had a blast!!

Friday, I took the boys on a run through the Kent trails to McDonald's. The boys were wanting some more of the new Clone Wars Toys.
Isaac wants to collect them all, but I really don't think we will be able to. There are like 14 of them, and I really do not want to go to McDonald's 14 times in one month!
This summer has been really fun running with the boys down and back to McDonalds. However, they are getting extremely heavy to push. So I am not sure how much longer I am going to be able to keep that up.

Friday afternoon, after Andy got home from work, we packed up the car and drove to Chicago!
I will post more about that later :-)
We have had a very busy but fun week!

Looks like you had a fun and exciting week. I can't believe you are still able to push both the boys in the stroller! ( I don't even like running with Grant in the stroller...) I missed you on Sunday, but I'm looking forward to hearing all about your Chicago trip!
