This one takes the Cake!

In our church, we have a great youth program.
Every Wednesday we meet together and have planned activities with the youth.

This last week I was in charge of the October Combined Young men and Young Women activity.
We had a Halloween Cake Decorating Contest.

Here are a few of the the guidelines:
-each group starts out with a non frosted cake
-Every group had white frosting, and could color it to their liking.
-Every group had a baggy with the same candy for decorating
-each group picked out of a brown bag a Surprise ingredient for decorating

I was a little nervous in how the activity would turn out.
Thankfully, It was a hit!

The young women and young men had a fun time working together on their cakes.

Here's how they all turned out:

Cute Pumpkin Cake

Creepy Crawly Cake

Scary Haunted Cake

Tombstone Cake

Witches boot for $100 Cake

They all turned out so good.
The young women and young men were all very creative, and this activity got them all to work with each other.

I then asked the elder Missionaries to help with the judging and then help give out the awards to the groups. Each group got a different award for their very creative cake.
