I am excited for 2009!
When the new year begins it feels like fresh air is coming my way,
and I can do and accomplish whatever I set my mind on.
My friend Jill picks a word for herself at the beginning of each year,
to remind herself through out the year what her goal is.

I was inspired by her to pick a word of my own for 2009.

Believe is a powerful word to me.
To believe in yourself, you can accomplish anything!
I remember a time when I was in High School, I felt like I had the heaviest weight upon my shoulders. I started doubting myself in my school work, which effected how I looked at myself personally. I remember my dad telling me to just Believe in myself and then I could accomplish anything that I wanted or needed to do.
As a mom and a wife (of a Medical resident) I often feel that the weight of the world is on my shoulders.
There are also going to be some new BIG, HUGE, changes and responsiblities in my life this year. I am going to have to be doing a lot of believing in myself :-)
OK, so here are just a few of my goals this year:
1. Be more organized, on time, and have more balance in my life.
2. loose 15 pounds!! I am signed up and training for my second 25k (15.2m) Eating healthy and being in shape is very important to me, and makes me a better ME :-)
3. Have more prayerful and thoughtful moments in my day.
(this will help me in my role as a wife and mother and also with my new church calling)
Happy New Year to all of you.
And thank you for all of your cute Christmas Cards. I seriously have the most creative and crafty friends. :-)

great word. Good luck with your goals. I don't think you will be able to loose that 15 lbs. You look too good as it is. I hope to loose that much too, but I am sure most of it will come off when baby comes.. Ha ha -- then the real work will begin. You are an inspiration to me in all you do.
